November is a busy month - there is Thanksgiving and my wedding anniversary. Plus my younger sister's birthday (which she won't let me forget about...she's going to be 14 so birthdays are still awesome).
This time of year is also when I photograph the Huntsville Heart Walk and family/portrait sessions get booked pretty fast with the holidays getting closer and graduation (I live in a college town).
And on top of ALL that, for the first time I have decided to participate in NaNoWriMo. What is that?
It is national novel writing month! Yes, you attempt to write a novel in a month...well the collective goal seems to be to reach 50,000 words. (note: my first fantasy manuscript with my agent right now is at 90,000 words).
So, that is approximately 1700 words a day. The whole month.
I am blogging about this so you can hold me accountable. This month is crazy and I have a full time job and own a business - yet I still do this ol' writing thing because I love it. Why not use it to get my third installment of my series going?
I'd like to reach the 50,000 word goal - but really I just want to write...everyday. Even if its 306 words or 5100 words (wouldn't that be fantastic?!) I just want to write everyday...and hopefully not have my head explode.
So friends, check on me throughout the month...please. Pretty please. Make sure I am keeping my sanity (or what I have left of it).
Example: today I got in 2161 words. Whoohoo!
Hopefully I can keep this up! Anyone else participating in NaNoWriMo?
