She believed she could, so she did. - Personal

Photography is something I have always loved. About 4 years, I had thought about doing it for a living, but had the voices of people in my head telling me it wasn't a good idea and that I shouldn't do it. When I finally decided it was what I was going to do, because it is what makes me happy, I felt good. I felt free.
Then came the more voices of people telling me it wasn't a good idea, in this market. And I began comparing myself to others. And doubted myself.
I found a photographer online during that time that inspired me. Not by her work (though I am such a huge fan), but by her words. Jasmine Star, (who all of a sudden I am referring to her like we are bffs, because I would like to think if I ever met her, we would just start chatting about everything!) posted a personal post on her blog and it had a few inspiration quotes. One was 'She believed she could, so she did.' I immediately printed it off and stuck it on my cork board in my cubicle at my other job (as I tend to call it), and wrote down goals for myself. Not just things I wanted to do, but things I wanted to remember to tell myself daily. Besides the actual quote, to not compare myself or my work to others. I create what I do, and I know I have much to learn, but I will not give up. My photography will published one day in a wedding magazine, I will go to Europe for a wedding one day, I will be hired for a fashion editorial in Harper's Bazaar one day, and my stories will become novels you can buy one day!
I decided in order to remind myself this, even thru the hard days, I wanted something permanent. So I did this:

To all those out there, trying, dreaming of something bigger - you can do it. Just believe you can.

Savanna - Fashion

Me and Savanna go way back. Wayyyyyyyy back. And by that I mean, like we were like 8 years old and friends! It was lovely to meet up with her again and catch up! Talk about Lady Gaga and Europe! We walked around the square here in Huntsville and had people stop, honk, talk to us, and take pictures! Let's just say she is a crowd stopper! I am so excited about these photos, I can hardly stand it, and cannot wait to work with her and her friend Hannah in the near future!

Kelsi - Senior Session

Everyone meet Kelsi! Kelsi is a senior graduation from Huntsville High this Spring! We met up at my house and traveled thru the ville with her awesome mom, Lani for some some Senior pictures! Here are my favorites!

Joe

Okay, little children can be verrryyy tricky when you take pictures. They either love you or they do not like the camera at all. Joe did not like the camera, but little did he know I was totally use to that because I have a niece named Averie! So I let him do his thing, which includes running around with a stuffed Mickey Mouse and an awesome pouty face! And I got some pictures that I am sure he will love his mother showing his future spouse! Joe is a cutey and a future ladies man and athlete! Here are my favorites!

Mrs. Kim Nettles

Everyone meet Mrs. Kim Nettles! She use to be my dance instructor when I was in High School. I was so excited when she asked me about a portrait session! Texas weather brought us a really cold, cloudy afternoon but we braved it and got some great shots! Here are a few of my favorites! Doesn't she look ahmazing!!?!!

Family

So you here people say their family is crazy? Well my family is CRAZZYYY! Yes the caps and the extra letters make it true. But I absolutely love them and I wouldn't have it any other way! My Mum's Mother, who we call MommaMilly, just turned 80! Below is a picture of her and my Mum. Plus a picture that proves to you how crazy we really are! My Mum and her sisters!

SweetHeart - Heart Walk 2012

I was asked again to take pictures at the Heart Walk this year and it was such an honor to be apart of it and the amazing cause! IT was FREEEEEZING that morning, but everyone came out and showed their support! Here are some of my favorites!
